The notion that organizations should always be “restructuring” and optimizing how they do things became the operating philosophy of Toyota some time ago, but the discipline of continuous improvement has yet to be adopted by most companies. I saw this interview on direct tv Phoenix a couple of weeks ago, Anand Sanwal has a lot of interesting ideas that can change a lot in the process of "cost optimization methodology". I own a small company and I heard a lot of times about continuous improvement but never knew what steps I must take to implement this, now things are much easier to understand after looking at this video.
