Small and midsize business owners worldwide are feeling increasingly positive about the state of global trade, according to an HSBC survey. One area for optimism: A majority of respondents expect access to credit to either remain the same or increase.

Access to credit will need

Access to credit will need to increase before this will indicate a positivity in the marketplace. Economic growth hinges on availability of credit, and this cannot happen until credit standards are relaxed and money is made available for capitalistic ventures. Access to credit will need to increase before the global trade outlook can be considered positive.
